How The Foam Is Made?

The foam is made through a manufacturing process called foaming.  This process entails expanding a liquid into a cellular structure. The specific techniques employed vary depending on the type of foam being created, such as polyurethane foam, memory foam, or latex foam.

INGREDIENTS:

Polyurethane Foam:

Polyurethane foam begins with polyols and diisocyanates as its primary components. These chemicals undergo a reaction to form a polymer, which serves as the foundational structure of the foam.

Memory Foam:

Memory foam include a variety of specific chemicals, such as viscoelastic substances, to enhance the foam’s elasticity and its ability to mold to body shapes.

Latex Foam:

Natural latex foam is sourced from the sap of rubber trees, while synthetic latex is synthesised using petrochemicals. Both natural and synthetic latex go through a refining process to be transformed into foam material.

MIXING AND BLENDING: We carefully mix specific ingredients in exact ratios. For polyurethane foam, this means combining polyols and diisocyanates under controlled conditions.

CHEMICAL REACTION:

The mixture undergoes a chemical reaction known as polymerisation. In the case of polyurethane foam, this reaction creates a polymeric substance.

EXPANSION AND FORMATION:

The polymer expands as gas is released during the reaction, forming the characteristic bubbles or cells that give foam its structure.

CURING:

We allow the newly formed foam to cure or set, in order to stabilise the structure and ensure the foam has the desired physical properties.

POST-TREATMENT:

Depending on the type of foam, additional processes may be applied. For example, memory foam might undergo treatments to improve its responsiveness and temperature sensitivity.

CUTTING AND SHAPING:

Once cured, we can cut and shape the foam into its final form, whether it’s for mattresses, cushions, or other applications.

QUALITY CONTROL:

Throughout the entire manufacturing process, rigorous quality control measures are enforced to maintain consistency and meet our specifications.
